A Strong and Proud Recovery Community Celebrates National Recovery Month at Resurgence Behavioral Health

Wimberley, TX - Any successful day in the struggle against addiction is cause for celebration, but recovery milestones get special attention every year in September for National Recovery Month. Resurgence Behavioral Health shares in the commemoration by celebrating its many clients who have successfully overcome addiction to drugs and alcohol.
The clients, in turn, celebrate Resurgence with enthusiastic testimonials to the support they received, leading to their successful recovery.
“Resurgence saved my life,” wrote former client Dana K., one of many who posted five-star reviews of Resurgence on Google. “I have been in and out of treatment for 16 years and this has been the best place and the best employees. They didn’t give up on me when I had. They really care and [it’s] just a really healing place.”
Established more than three decades ago, Recovery Month celebrates the gains made by recovering addicts and seeks to educate the public about the realities of drug and alcohol dependence. The observance month is led by Faces and Voices of Recovery, an advocacy group “dedicated to organizing and mobilizing the over 23 million Americans in recovery from addiction to alcohol and other drugs, our families, friends, and allies in recovery community organizations and networks, to promote the right and resources to recover through advocacy, education and demonstrating the power and proof of long-term recovery.”
Resurgence Behavioral Health is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol treatment centers offering medically assisted detox, residential and outpatient rehab, and several long-term follow-up programs. Treatments are customized for the individual needs of each client; options include the latest behavioral and cognitive therapies, which can be integrated into traditional 12 Step programs or SMART Recovery programs. In addition, virtual therapy is available for clients who cannot attend in-person treatment. When appropriate, addiction treatment is provided as part of a dual diagnosis with underlying emotional or psychological conditions such as anxiety, depression, or PTSD.
Resurgence’s approach also got high marks from Alyssa R. “If I could put into words how this company changed my life, I would,” she wrote, “but the truth is I cannot. I cannot verbalize adequately enough how Resurgence completely saved me. Saved me from my lifestyle and my addiction. Saved me from my warped mindset and gave me a sense of hope that allows me to actually live again and truly love myself for me.”
Family members also praised Resurgence. “This company creates living testimonies of renewed minds, healed hearts, and restored bodies,” said Jessica R. “My sister went to this program and in return, I have my sister back and her kids have their mom back. She is about to be nine months sober and working in recovery helping others succeed in having long-term sobriety as well. Thank you, Resurgence, for giving my sister back to me!”
Other clients praised the Resurgence staff. “They showed dedication from the start,” Paul H. wrote. “Not only that but most of all they CARE and have true knowledge about recovery and relapse prevention. The care and treatment team are absolutely hands down some of the best in the area… I was a hard case but the team was patient and gave me some of the best care I’ve ever had. I am now able to recognize and pinpoint when/where I’m triggered and stop it BEFORE it happens.”
Alyssa W. urged others locked in addiction to contact Resurgence. “Resurgence has completely changed my perspective on my life and self-worth!” she wrote. “I highly recommend this program to anyone looking to really change their lives and work on their issues.”
