Frux Home and Yard Silicone Oven Mitts Receive Insightful Review On Amazon

July 09, 2021 at 15:55

Frux Home and Yard, a home and kitchen accessories maker, has received a funny but insightful review on its product, Frux Sili Mitts, the company’s brand of silicone mitts designed for use with the oven and around other hot items in the kitchen.

Tatiana M's oven mitts review says, “I bought these for my husband who picked up cooking during the pandemic. I never thought he had huge forearms until we bought these. They're very long and they don't go all the way up because they get stuck halfway up his arm. He's not thicker than a bowl of oatmeal, but the way these mitts fit and how high they try to go makes him look like he's got monster forearms which in retrospect is kind of hot. So, maybe disregard my review if you're into that.”

A spokesperson for the company responded to the review by saying, “We are absolutely thrilled with the review from Tatiana M. Though the review is funny and light-hearted, it also gives us valuable feedback about the product. When we first designed the silicone mitts, we were making them extra long to fit as many hands and forearms as possible. Silicone mitts that are meant to be used while cooking in the kitchen are meant to offer protection for the hands from hot surfaces and utensils. The oven mitts, therefore, have to be as long as they possibly can while still being a comfortable fit. We have recognized this challenge and we try to accommodate as many body types as possible. Recently, we have been tackling this problem by adding a split in the fabric sleeve. That should ease some of the concerns and make the mitts fit even more people. At the end of the day, however, we are also humble enough to realize that we can’t fit everyone perfectly. We don’t like it but we absolutely adore the review posted by Tatiana M. that gives us an insight into what we can improve while also providing some levity.”

The Frux Sili Mitts are heat-safe up to 500°F and offer maximum protection for the hands, wrist, and forearm. They are heat-resistant and have a completely waterproof silicone outer shell that is made from BPA-free, food-grade silicone. The flame retardant silicone won't catch fire or melt when used near a flame. The premium inner cotton lining adds an extra layer of protection and comfort. The oven gloves are 14.75 inches long and comfortably fit a forearm of up to 10 inches in circumference.

The textured nonskid pattern on both sides of the oven mitt helps the user hold on without hindering their natural grip or sacrificing dexterity. The mitts are designed to be flexible, breathable, and comfortable, offering the best control and stability while holding hot, slick, or heavy items.

The mitts are also stain-resistant and very easy to clean with warm water and a little soap. For big stains, the heavy-duty oven mitts can also be machine washed on a gentle cycle and won't tear or fray over time. The attached loops on the side of the mitts allow the buyer to easily hang them on cabinets and hooks to always keep them within reach.

The added length of the kitchen mitts, which was alluded to in the review, will keep the user protected from fingertips to forearms so that they can grip pots, pans, and cookware without the worry of scalds or burns while working over hot flames, ovens, stoves, or grills. The mitts effectively prevent steam scalds while cooking on the stovetop or draining boiled pasta or retrieving food like boiled corn or lobster from a hot boiling pot of water.

The company says that it stands by all of its products and if the buyers are not happy with it, the company will do everything in its power to make it right. The company can be reached at the phone number 888-410-2340 or at the email address customersupport@fruxhomeandyard.com for all inquiries.
